This poster was created to commemorate a concert featuring Helmet and Rollins Band, two bands particularly beloved by Derek himself. Inspired by the power and aggressive sound of both bands, a tank turret is depicted on the head of the figure in the center of the artwork. To further emphasize this image, the turret and body are adorned with camouflage patterns. In the background, factories are arranged along the river in the Flats district of Cleveland, Ohio. This is because the concert was held at Nautica, an outdoor amphitheater located in the Flats.

This is a silk-screen poster that expresses the energy of a heavy, industrial-feeling live performance with symbolic motifs and original graphics.
It is highly recommended for collectors who love the 1990s alternative/hardcore scene, including Helmet and Rollins Band.

This show had two of my favorite bands, Helmet and Rollins band. Both very powerful and aggressive. I chose to use a tank turret as the head of the figure because of that. I camouflaged both the turret and body to go along with the theme. In the background are factories that are up river in the Cleveland flats, I used them because the show took place at Nautica, an outdoor amphitheater in the flats.
